Candy Capogrossi has worked in the field of housing for more then 35 years. She has a BA from Ithaca College majoring in Theater and English. Her career included teaching in an elementary school, Case Manager at a group home for teenage young women, House Parent at a Residential Treatment Center for emotionally disturbed children. She served as Deputy Executive Director of Santa Clara Housing Authority retiring in 2010 after 32 years. She has served as an Executive Officer of several Board of Directors including Emergency Housing Consortium, Catholic Charities, and Pacific Regional National Association. She is a mother, a grandmother, and has a bonus daughter and granddaughter from a previous foster relationship. Believing that education is still the path to self actualization and independence, she is pleased to serve on the board of FEOF.
Deborah, a former foster parent, is a retired public administrator who worked for several cities including San Jose, Campbell, West Sacramento, Sacramento and Vacaville in a managerial capacity. She received her undergraduate degree from San Jose State University and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Southern California. She is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Deborah believes that education is the best way for a foster child to build a successful and financially independent future.
